For a peaceful and calm beach, take a stroll on Chinamans Beach. Tucked into the Middle Harbour this small stretch of sand has the benefit of crystal clear and gently lapping water. The lack of waves make it a safe area for swimming and playing, followed by a picnic on the often deserted sands.

As you walk through the tree-lined path that brings you to this small retreat, you are greeted with a picture perfect view, devoid of the busy crowds that adorn the neighbouring Balmoral Beach. Make sure you bring an umbrella for some welcome shade while you relax between bouts of snorkelling, canoeing or collecting shells.

Bordering the Rosherville Reserve, the beach has access to a small playing ground, a grassy area and toilet facilities, but be sure to bring a picnic as there are no kiosks. Chinaman Beach is the perfect spot for those seeking some time-out and tranquillity.
