Meadowbank Wharf is located in Sydney's western suburbs, on the north side of Parramatta River around 7.5 miles from the CBD. This is the main ferry wharf for the Meadowbank, Melrose Park, Rhodes and Denistone neighbourhoods, and is an option for pick up and drop off when you hire your boat with Ucruise Sydney. For parties who live mainly in western Sydney, Meadowbank can be a good option as it caters even to larger boats, but if you give us all the necessary details at the time of booking, our staff will be able to advise on the best wharf available for your group size and vessel choice.
Choosing Meadowbank Wharf for Your Cruise Pick Up
Local residents of Meadowbank and the surrounding areas will know Meadowbank Wharf as one of the main western Sydney ferry wharfs that runs services into Darling Harbour. Meadowbank Wharf has been upgraded fairly recently and now has a covered gangway, Opal top-up points, a spacious waiting area on the steel pontoon and even bike racks and lockers. There are plenty of accessibility facilities at Meadowbank Wharf, including a hearing loop, tactiles and wheelchair access, but please let our team know of any special requirements for your group so that we can advise as to whether a Meadowbank pick up would be suitable.
Getting to Meadowbank Wharf
As mentioned above, Meadowbank Wharf is quite central to a lot of western Sydney suburbs such as Melrose Park, Denistone and Ryde. For those arriving to the wharf by car, Meadowbank is located at the end of Bowden Street and is perfect for a quick drop-off. If you need to park, however, options are somewhat limited, with the nearest off-street parking available in Anderson Park, about a 10 minute walk from the wharf. The wharf is serviced by a couple of bus routes, such as the 518 that runs to the Macquarie University. You can also arrive by ferry, of course, via the F3 Parramatta to Circular Quay service. Bike racks and lockers are also available at Meadowbank Wharf.
As Meadowbank Wharf is one of the area's main ferry wharfs, there are plenty of convenience services and facilities nearby. Picking up last-minute supplies such as extra ice, food or drink, for example, is simply a case of taking a 2-minute stroll to Bay Drive where there are several liquor stores and supermarkets. Nearby, you'll also find some nice parkland areas like Memorial Park (which would be a great spot for the group to meet up), as well as some great little coffee shops where you can kill a bit of time before your cruise.
