Putney Kissing Point Wharf

Putney Kissing Point Wharf

Putney Kissing Point Wharf is a simple wharf located about half way up Parramatta River, in the western suburbs of Sydney near Putney and Rhodes. When you hire a boat through Ucruise Sydney, our staff can help guide you in the best choice of vessel and cruise for a Kissing Point pick up and drop off, with the wharf being available for a good deal of our catamarans and smaller vessels. As always, although Kissing Point is a good option for groups living in the immediate area, for parties spread out over greater Sydney, we'd recommend a more central options such as the CBD wharfs for pick up and drop off.

Choosing Putney Kissing Point Wharf for Your Cruise Pick Up

Putney Kissing Point Wharf is a small ferry wharf used by the Sydney RiverCats to ferry commuters up and down Parramatta River. It's one of the best wharfs for people living in Putney, Tennyson Point, Gladesville and Ryde, sitting equidistant from Meadowbank Wharf to the west and Cabarita Wharf to the east, each one about a mile up or down river. With Ryde Bridge only about half a mile upstream, Kissing Point is also a convenient option for people coming from Rhodes or Concord West as they can cross the river and get to the wharf quite easily. Kissing Point's immediate area is also a lovely spot to wait around while your group gathers for the cruise, with plenty of river-side parkland available.

Getting to Putney Kissing Point Wharf

Situated in south-central Putney, Kissing Point Wharf is quite easily accessible either by car, public transport or on foot. For cars, there is on-street parking (somewhat limited) in the surrounding streets, with a few parking spaces in the nearby parks as well. Buses such as the 507 stop fairly close to the wharf, but take into account that you'll have to walk for about 8-10 minutes from the closest stops. Finally, neither the wharf nor the nearest parks have dedicated bike racks. If you're arriving by ferry, the F3 is the only service that runs through Kissing Point Wharf.

Local amenities

In terms of amenities, the area immediately surrounding Putney Kissing Point Wharf is mostly residential, so don't bank on being able to pick up supplies close by. However, central Putney has a few convenience stores where you can buy last-minute ice, sunblock or drinks, but do bear in mind that it's about a 20 minute walk from there to the wharf itself. In terms of wharf facilities, Kissing Point Wharf is not considered "accessible", and has limited covered waiting areas. If your party has special requirements in this regard, just let our team know and we can suggest a nearby alternative wharf that can cater to you.
