Hunters Hill Wharf

Hunters Hill Wharf

Hunters Hill Wharf is located on the south bank of Lane Cove River, just opposite Longueville and right on the boundary between Hunters Hill and Woolwich. This is a simple wharf with few ferry services, but if you think it's the best choice for you and your group, when you book your boat hire with Ucruise Sydney, let our team know and we'll be happy to help organise pick up and drop off from here. If your group does have special access requirements, however, or it's on the larger side, a safer option would be to select a wharf closer to Sydney CBD such as the King Street Wharfs in Darling Harbour.

Choosing Hunters Hill Wharf for Your Cruise Pick Up

Hunters Hill is a lovely little neighbourhood in western Sydney, just up Lane Cove River near Woolwich and Gladesville. As such, groups mainly based in these and surrounding areas might consider Hunters Hill wharf for their Sydney Harbour cruise pick up and drop off. Although it can be a great base for exploring Lane Cove River or Parramatta River, Hunters Hill is a bit of a trek from the main Sydney landmarks, so tourists might prefer to book a wharf in central Sydney and make the most of the sights.

Getting to Hunters Hill Wharf

Unless you're a local resident of Hunters Hill or Woolwich, the Hunters Hill wharf might be a bit of a pain to get to. Public transport services are fairly limited, with just two bus services (the 505 and 538) stopping within a ten-minute walk of the wharf (back on Ferry Street). The CCLC ferry does stop at the wharf, but only sporadically throughout the day, typically in the early morning and afternoon. There is very limited parking on Alexandra Street, which leads up to the wharf, and the wharf itself has no parking spots for commuters, so arriving by car is probably best left for quick drop offs. There are stairs at the Hunters Hill Wharf and Transport for NSW classifies it as "not accessible", meaning there will be better options nearby for people with special access requirements. Let our team know when you book and we'll give you advise on more suitable alternative wharfs.

Local amenities

Central Hunters Hill is some way from the wharf (a 25-minute straight walk up Alexander Street), but there are one or two small shops nearer by, such as the Garibaldi Village Square shopping centre. The closer shops, however, are pretty niche, so if you need some last-minute ice or sunblock, you'll need to head further away. The wharf has no toilets or bike racks available either, so please do make sure to plan well if you're using Hunters Hill for your pick up point.
