Greenwich Point Wharf
Greenwich Point Wharf
Greenwich Point Wharf is to the west of the Sydney Harbour Bridge at the mouth of Lane Cove River. It's a popular wharf for pick up and drop off for groups based mainly in Greenwich and surrounding neighbourhoods. When organising your boat hire through Ucruise Sydney, be sure to mention all your group's needs to our team and we can provide suggestions on the best wharf options for you and your party. Please be advised that in 2024, Greenwich Point Wharf will be undergoing an upgrade as part of Sydney's Transport Access Program, and as such, during major construction works it may be unsuitable for the boat you are hiring or your party size.
Choosing Greenwich Point Wharf for Your Cruise Pick Up
Greenwich Point Wharf serves northwestern Sydney neighbourhoods, principally Greenwich, Wollestonecraft and St Leonards. Although it's an option for those areas, there are other wharfs available that may be better alternatives, especially due to the planned construction works. Just ask our team for recommendations when booking and we will ensure you get the right wharf for your day out. If it should turn out to be the best wharf for your group, be aware that parking is limited and the most convenient way to arrive is on public transport.
Getting to Greenwich Point Wharf
Greenwich Point Wharf is easily accessible by car, but as mentioned above, parking nearby is quite limited, so the best idea would be to drop people off. If public transport is your main option, the 265 that links Crows Nest to Lane Cove dips down into the headland and stops just a minute's walk from the wharf. Finally, although many other wharfs around the Harbour have bike racks and lockers, Greenwich Point currently doesn't, so bear that in mind when planning as well. There are also frequent ferry services from Parramatta and Circular Quay in case people need to arrive from further afield.
There isn't much in the way of facilities and amenities at Greenwich Point Wharf right now, so be sure to bring everything you'll need for your cruise such as ice, drinks, sunblock and food, because nipping off to get some at the last minute could cause quite a lengthy delay.
