Walsh Bay Wharf

Walsh Bay Wharf

Historical Walsh Bay is nestled under the south-west end of the imposing Sydney Harbour Bridge, just north of the CBD on Central Harbour. This is a great spot for central Sydney Harbour cruise pick ups, and is accessible for most vessel and group sizes (although some restrictions do still apply). If you think Walsh Bay Wharf is the best option for you and your group, when you book your boat hire with Ucruise Sydney, make sure to tell our team about any special requirements you may have and we'll be happy to recommend alternatives if needed.

Choosing Walsh Bay Wharf for Your Cruise Pick Up

Walsh Bay is a popular choice for both tourists and Sydneysiders thanks to its central location, great views and plentiful amenities. At Walsh Bay, you can while away the time as you wait for your pick up by visiting the nearby Barangaroo Reserve or the many boutique stores that stand along the waterside. Its central location means you can explore almost anywhere on Central and Middle Harbour in just a couple of hours, meaning it's a great pick up point for people getting to know Sydney for the first time.

Getting to Walsh Bay Wharf

Getting to Walsh Bay Wharf is pretty easy regardless of where you're based in Sydney. Although there are no direct public ferries to the wharf complex, you're right between Circular Quay and Darling Harbour, with wither one being around 7-10 minutes' walk away. Buses and trains are all frequently arriving in downtown Sydney as well, with the nearest bus services being just a minute or two from the wharf (the 311, 324 and 325 among others). Trains stop at Circular Quay Light Rail Station. If you'd prefer something more private, however, water taxis are also an option, and even though arriving by car means parking a little further away, CBD parking is fairly easy thanks to the several nearby secure car parks (be advised that they are all paid and you may need to book parking ahead of time).

Local amenities

Walsh Bay has plenty of things to do nearby, from browsing the cool boutique stores on the water front to kicking back in the adjoining parkland. Here, you can find bars, shops, cafés, restaurants and public toilets, meaning that even if you forget your swimming cossie, you might still be able to grab one at the last minute!
