Neutral Bay Wharf
Neutral Bay Wharf
Neutral Bay Wharf is located just East of the Sydney Harbour Bridge on the north side of Middle Harbour. If this wharf is located near to you and your group it may be possible to arrange for pick up and drop off from here, depending on group and vessel size and your group's requirements. When you book your boat hire through Ucruise Sydney, our staff will be able to advise on the nearest suitable wharf if Neutral Bay is unavailable.
Choosing Neutral Bay Wharf for Your Cruise Pick Up
Neutral Bay Wharf is a handy pick up point for groups based mainly in the north-central Sydney neighbourhoods of Neutral Bay, Cremorne and Cammeray. The wharf can cater to most boat sizes and is a stop on the F5 ferry service. Also, thanks to a bit of a facelift back in 2012, the wharf has plenty of covered waiting areas and is classified as an "independent access" wharf by Transport for NSW, and as such has wheelchair access and other facilities for passengers with special requirements.
Getting to Watson's Bay Wharf
Neutral Bay Wharf is easy to get to from most of Sydney's north-central neighbourhods, with car and bus access running right up to the wharf entrance. The nearest bus stop is at the end of Hayes Street right by the wharf, but the only service that gets this close is the 225. Other nearby services include the 263, but you can add a 5-8 minute walk onto your journey after you get off the bus. Parking is quite limited, especially in the immediate vicinity of Neutral Bay Wharf, so we'd recommend you do your homework to find a reliable spot before you arrive (unless you're planning a quick drop off). Finally, the F5 ferry service from Circular Quay stops here, which is great for people arriving from southern Sydney. Neutral Bay Wharf also has bike racks available.
Local amenities
There are a few amenities around the wharf, but we'd recommend planning well for your Sydney Harbour boat hire and buying everything you'll need before you arrive. If you do happen to be missing anything, you'll likely have to trek back into North Sydney or central Neutral Bay in order to find it. The wharf does have a couple of nearby restaurants and cafés, though, which could make good spots to while away some time before your cruise. There's also nearby Anderson Park and Hayes Street beach to use as group meeting points.
