Darling Point Wharf

Darling Point Wharf

From its location about half-way from the CBD to the coast on the south side of Sydney Harbour, Darling Point Wharf serves the communities of Darling Point, Woollahra, Paddington, Centennial Park and more distant southern Sydney suburbs. If you think that Darling Point Wharf is the best wharf for your harbour cruise pick up and/or drop off, when you book your boat hire through Ucruise Sydney, just ask our staff if there are any restrictions in place that might make it unsuitable.

Choosing Darling Point Wharf for Your Cruise Pick Up

Darling Point is a beautiful neighbourhood commanding some spectacular views of Middle Harbour, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the surrounding headlands. Thanks to a handy location more over to the eastern end of the Harbour, Darling Point Wharf provides a direct harbour access point to Sydneysiders and tourists based in areas further to the south and east of the CBD. That said, getting to the wharf does involve stairs and other obstacles that make it less appropriate for groups who have special access needs.

Getting to Darling Point Wharf

Darling Point Wharf is an important ferry wharf for the Darling Point neighbourhood and surrounding areas, so getting here by public transport is quite straightforward. Over water, you have the option of a water taxi (if you'd prefer a more private and relaxing experience) or the F7 ferry which runs regularly throughout the day (check timetables carefully). Your best bet for a bus is the 328, which stops closest to the wharf back on Thornton Street. If you plan to come by car, we'd recommend doing a bit of homework before you arrive in terms of parking, as secure parking is hard to come by and on-street parking is only available to permit holders in certain areas of Darling Point.

Local amenities

The best place to stock up on supplies near Darling Point Wharf is in central Double Bay in and around the New South HEad Road area. Here, you should be able to find everything from ice to a spare swimming cossie, but be aware that it's a good 20 minutes' walk from the wharf to this high street.
