We have boats for any budget and we won't be beaten on price. Hourly rates range depending on boat type:
Duration: The most common duration of cruise is 4 hours which provides ample time to cruise around the harbour, drop anchor and go for a swim, enjoy food and drink and cruise back.
Cruise Route: Typically groups get picked up from around Darling Harbour, cruise under the Sydney Harbour Bridge then cruise East, travelling along the South side on the way our and North side on the way back.
Anchor Location: There are several areas that are good for anchoring, some better than others depending on the weather. Popular spots include; Milk Beach, Watson's Bay, Athol Bay and Farm Cove.
BYO Food & Drink: Offered across more or less all the affordable vessels, often with BBQ use included. A cheap and cheerful easy option.
Canapes, Buffets: A common choice across boats, offering catering in the most practical way. Everything taken care of.
Sit down multi-course meals: For something more luxurious often with waiter service; an option across top tier vessels.
Licensed Bar: Normally supplied across the larger function vessels allowing for drinks purchases and a wider selection of options.
Dietary Requirements: Our boat partners are very good at accommodating to all kinds of requirements.
Time of Day: The most popular time people want is 12pm-4pm, or for an evening charter catching the sunset 5pm-9pm.
Season: The boating season starts around September to March; these months are much warmer and drier meaning a higher chance of good weather.
Wharves: There are ample wharves in the CBD but consider parking because you will be out for around 4 hours - taking an Uber or public transport to and from your wharf would be advised for easier logistics.
Weather: Boats are all-weather vessels, so cruises will always go ahead regardless of weather. Check the forecast 24-48 hours before to pack appropriately.
Popular Days: Weekends are the busiest days and Oct-Feb are the busiest months - book at least 3 months in advance.
Logistics: Plan your route to the wharf and your trip home—crowds are heavy.
BYO: If you choose to BYO food and drink, remember finger food over knife and fork works best, and cans over spirits and mixers both for practicality with consuming and also carrying weight.
Music: Almost all vessels will have bluetooth speakers so create your playlist in advance to make the most of your time on board.
Footwear: Choose sensible footwear, flats over heels. Many boats, particularly the more luxurious vessels have a no-shoes policy regardless.
