If you can rustle up a group of 15 to 30 mates, you can find catamarans for a really reasonable per head price, such as the spacious Elysium II, which can take up to 30 guests and start from around 50 bucks per person for a 4-hour party!
How far in advance should I arrange and book my Harbourlife boat hire?
New Years Eve... Boxing Day... Australia Day... There are a few dates on the calendar that fill up REALLY fast, and Harbourlife is among them. The sooner you get your reservation locked in, the better! Closer to the day there may be cancellations or one or two free vessels, but they are unlikely to fit your exact needs in terms of group size or extra services. Our recommendation is to get your booking locked in as soon as you know which day you want to attend.
Do you offer BYO food and drink options for Harbourlife parties?
Absolutely, numerous boats within our diverse portfolio offer this flexibility. These boats are equipped with Eskys to store and chill your drinks, along with galley space for storing food until it's ready to be served. Most catamarans, often chosen for Bucks parties, come with onboard BBQs that are ready for use, and the crew is more than willing to take charge of the cooking, enhancing your boat party experience. For those opting for BYO, we recommend considering boat-friendly food and drink choices, favouring finger foods over items requiring utensils. Additionally, opting for cans and bottles over cocktails is advisable to prevent spillages and ensure a hassle-free celebration on the water. However, if BYO isn't your preference and you'd rather have everything taken care of, many of our esteemed boat partners offer catering options with comprehensive food and drink menus, providing a hassle-free and delightful culinary experience for your boat party.
What should I wear for a Harboulife boat hire?
This is a great question that doesn't really get asked enough! Comfortable footwear is the starting point (no heels!), as you'll be on a moving vessel in the water and maybe having a few drinks, so stability and comfort are key. Also, while the weather is usually great in November (which is when we expect Harbourlife to take place), at night on the Harbour there can be a cool breeze so it's best to bring a light outer layer to cover up just in case. Other than that, go wild!
Is it possible to extend my Harbourlife cruise on the day?
This is unlikely to be possible and should be avoided, especially with larger vessels, but there may be some smaller boats that allow you to extend a cruise for a short time on the night. Please do be sure to ask our sales team about the options for this when you book your boat, and try not to leave anything to chance to avoid disappointment.
Are water toys available for use during the Harbourlife festival cruise?
As it's a night time cruise, getting in the water isn't really recommended due to safety concerns. If you want to take a dip with some water toys, we'd recommend starting the cruise earlier to take advantage of the daylight.
