Choosing Cabarita Wharf for Your Cruise Pick Up
Cabarita Wharf is one of several ferry wharfs dotted along the Parramatta River, right in between Mortlake and Chiswick. The neighbourhood of Cabarita is probably best known for its excellent swimming beach and golf clubs, but it also makes a great starting or ending point for a Sydney Harbour cruise. From here, you'll be able to reach Circular Quay and the main sites within about 25 minutes, or explore the bays and inlets of the Parramatta River in western Sydney.
Getting to Cabarita Wharf
Getting to Cabarita Wharf by water is pretty easy. You have regular F3 ferries running throughout the day, and water taxis can also stop here. By bus, your best bet is the 502, which stops only a couple of hundred feet from the wharf, although there are other services such as the 466 and 464 that stop relatively nearby. If you come by car, you'll find a decent amount of metred parking near the wharf, although availability can't be guaranteed. Cabarita Wharf has bike racks and is classified as "independent access" by Transport for NSW.
Local amenities
There isn't much in the way of shops near Cabarita Wharf, so we'd recommend you double check you have all the supplies you'll need for your cruise before you arrive. The neighbourhood does have a lot of good cafés within about a 15 minute walk of the wharf, though, so you might consider choosing one for the gang to meet up in before you start your day out. Public toilets are also available in the vicinity of Cabarita Beach.
