Drummoyne Wharf

Drummoyne Wharf

Drummoyne Wharf is a recently upgraded ferry wharf located west of the Sydney Harbour Bridge on the Parramatta River. The new wharf is made of floating pontoon with a fixed entry platform and gangway connecting the two. When you're hiring a boat with Ucruise Sydney, Drummoyne Wharf is an option for many of our small and mid-sized vessels, so if you and your party are mainly located in the west of Sydney, it might be a convenient option to consider. If you're not sure which is your closest wharf, our staff will be able to advise on the best wharf for pick up and drop off based on the boat you're hiring and the region of the city in which you're located. That said, we always try to recommend Sydney CBD wharfs such as the King Street Wharfs in Darling Harbour, as these tend to be the most convenient when all factors are taken into account.

Choosing Drummoyne Wharf for Your Cruise Pick Up

Drummoyne Wharf is located in a residential district, which means the wharf is great for locals living in neighbourhoods like Drummoyne, Abbotsford, Hunters Hill or Rodd Point, but may not be the best choice for parties coming in from further afield. If it sounds like the right choice for you, Ucruise Sydney has plenty of boats for hire that can offer a Drummoyne Wharf pick up and drop off, and this newly renovated wharf is able to cater for groups of 20 to 60 people without much trouble.

Getting to Drummoyne Wharf

Getting to Drummoyne Wharf is pretty simple either by car or on public transport. There are a handful of bus stops within an 8 to 10 minute walk, with numerous buses running from the CBD out to the west and north Sydney suburbs, and even some services extending into the early hours of the morning such as the 500N that goes from the CBD right the way out to Parramatta. Given Drummoyne Wharf's position in a residential area, however, parking for large groups can't be guaranteed and certainly should be taken into account for people coming to the wharf from further away. Finally, you can always get to the wharf by ferry, which for many Sydneysiders will. be the quickest and most comfortable option if you're bringing supplies for the cruise. Ferries are frequent from the CBD out to Drummoyne and usually take about 15 to 20 minutes.

Local amenities

Unlike some other of Sydney's wharfs, Drummoyne Wharf can feel a little lacking in terms of amenities. The nearest liquor stores (of which there aren't many), for example, are about a 15 minute walk away, so try not to leave your booze run until the last minute! Supermarkets and local stores are a similar story, and parking can be limited as the area is residential. These are all key details to take into account when planning the perfect cruise pick-up, and if you're in doubt, Ucruise Sydney staff can give you some expert advice at the time of booking your boat hire.
