About
MV Mandalay accommodates up to 193 guests and is available for private charter on Sydney Harbour. Built in 1970 by Millkraft as the original Magnetic Island Ferry, the vessel has been recently refurbished to combine classic ferry character with a warm, casual atmosphere.
The vessel features a spacious open top deck and large accessible bow area with views of Sydney Harbour. MV Mandalay offers both BYO charters and fully catered experiences.
Onboard facilities include a fully licensed bar with beers on tap. A professional crew is included, and the vessel is suitable for a range of events and operates year-round on Sydney Harbour.
For catered events, a wood-fired pizza oven on the back deck provides fresh pizzas cooked to order - a nice touch!

STAFFING
WAIT/BAR STAFF: $300 per staff member (4hrs) $75 per hour thereafter
Up to 49 guests - 2 staff required. 50-99 guests - 3 staff required. 101-150 guests - 4 staff required. 151-193 guests - 5 staff required
CHEF: $400 per Chef (4hrs) $100 per hour thereafter
One required for all catered cruises. NOTE - Minimum spend of $2,500 for all orders
SECURITY GUARD: $300 per staff member (4hrs) $75 per hour thereafter
Up to 30 guests - 1 guard required, 31-60 guests - 2 guards required, 61 and above - 3 guards required
WHARF INFORMATION
WHARF FEE: $80 (per visit to CBD wharves)
(outside CBD wharves may be extra)
BYO FOOD AND DRINK
BYO DRINKS: $7.50 per person (Maximum 100 people, cash bar or drinks package needed for above 100)
