Corporate Boat Hire FAQ
What types of boats are available for Sydney Harbour boat hire for corporate events?
We offer a variety of vessels for corporate boat hire on Sydney Harbour, including luxury yachts, catamarans, and glass boats, ensuring a perfect match for your event size and style. For example, one of our flagship catamarans Champagne Lady is a popular option for smaller corporate events thanks to its spacious decks that can accommodate for up to 20 guests for a more intimate office gathering. Of course, for larger corporate events you might consider a larger catamaran such as the Sydney Pearl, which can take up to 140 guests, or even Bella Vista or Starship, which can carry 600 and 950 guests respectively.
Can I customize the itinerary for my corporate boat hire on Sydney Harbour?
Absolutely! At Ucruise Sydney, we pride ourselves on the flexibility of our Sydney Harbour boat hire services. As such, you can tailor the itinerary to suit your corporate event's specific requirements. For example, if you're a company looking to wow some visiting foreign partners, we'd obviously recommend the central harbour's classic landmarks. If the event needs a more intimate feel, however, a picturesque bay such as somewhere up in Middle Harbour might be more attractive.
How many guests can your corporate boats accommodate?
Our fleet is big enough to accommodate for groups of 6 all the way up to 950. From intimate pontoon boats like The Floating Lounge or luxurious speedboats such as La Dolce Vita to huge cruisers like The Cadman, we aren't exaggerating when we say we really do have it all!
What facilities are available on board for Sydney Harbour corporate events?
Probably the most important feature on a corporate boat is the floor space. All our corporate boat hire options are spacious (often covering multiple levels) and give attendees plenty of room to network and mingle! The larger vessels all have on-board bars and bags of seating as well to make sure everyone is refreshed. The majority of our corporate boats feature state-of-the-art facilities as standard including audio-visual equipment (like projectors, microphones and presentation lighting), sound systems and refrigeration, and of course there will be separate men's and women's toilets on the bigger boats. Finally, there are package deals available to include different catering options, staffing and even DJs to ensure your corporate event runs as smoothly as possible. Just ask our team when you book your Sydney Harbour corporate boat hire, and we'll let you know the available options.
Is catering provided for corporate boat hire on Sydney Harbour?
While it's not covered in our standard fees, Ucruise Sydney's corporate boats offer an array of tiered food and drinks packages that can be adjusted to your budget and special requirements such as vegan, gluten-free, halal or kosher products. If you want to BYO, that possibility is there on a few of our vessels, but not all, so please do bring that up when booking and our team will recommend the best boats to meet your needs.
How far in advance should I book a boat for a corporate event on Sydney Harbour?
While we may have boats available on short notice, organising the optional extras such as catering, staff and entertainment can't be guaranteed. We'd always recommend locking in the reservation with 4 weeks' notice, especially if it's a large corporate event. With so many small details to go over, such as large drinks orders, catering services and more, the more time you have to play with, the better! Ideally, all the final details should be locked in at least a week in advance.
Are there any restrictions on entertainment for corporate events boat hire in Sydney?
Logistically speaking, there are a few restrictions, but you'd be surprised what kind of entertainment options are available. We've had everything from keynote speakers to live bands and even team building activities on our corporate boats. If you have something special in mind, let our staff know and they can guide you through the specifics.
What is the duration of a typical corporate cruise, and is it possible to extend my corporate cruise on the day?
By far the most popular duration is 4 hours, but some companies and teams opt for a little longer depending on what they have planned. For some of our boats, a service available for smaller groups, it is possible to extend the cruise. Elysium II, Champagne Lady, The Floating Lounge and Sirocco have the option to offer extensions if there are no bookings after your corporate event. Typically each additional hour will be in accordance with normal pricing but discounts for additional hours are offered from time to time.
What happens if there is rain or bad weather on the day of my corporate cruise?
If it rains or there's bad weather, your Sydney Harbour corporate event will proceed as planned. Our corporate boats feature canopies, coverings, or are fully enclosed to shield guests from rain and the majority of them are large enough so you won't feel a thing even if it's blowing a gale outside. That said, it's advisable to check the weather beforehand and dress accordingly if you do plan to go out on deck and to ensure you're comfortable while waiting for pick up. If you fail to attend, 100% of your payment will be forfeited. Rain or shine, most teams thoroughly enjoy the experience. Only in cases where Maritime deems the weather hazardous do we consider a postponement rather than a refund so it's important you are clear on all our terms and conditions prior to booking.
Can we brand the boat for our corporate event on Sydney Harbour?
This really depends. Of course, you can bring branded materials and signage on board, for example, but we typically don't allow for more invasive branding such as large adhesives that might damage the vessel in some way. You'd have to arrange for the transport and installation of the branded items as well, as it isn't a service we provide. Again, if there's something specific you have in mind, it's best to ask our staff and avoid a headache further down the line.
Does your Sydney Harbour boat hire for corporate events include an experienced crew?
All of our boat hire options, whether they are for corporate events or other types of business functions, are staffed by fully licensed skippers and crew who know the harbour like the back of their hand. You're in good hands with Ucruise Sydney!
