RESHEDULING & CANCELLATION

What happens if i need to reschedule my cruise?

This is normally possible when done well in advance. The period for rescheduling differs from boat to boat, in general this needs to be done 2 weeks prior to your cruise date. The rescheduled date must be within 3 months of the original booking date. Your booking can only be rescheduled once. Please check your boat's terms and conditions or contact us for more details.

What happens if i need to cancel my cruise?

Your deposit in most cases will be non-refundable. If you have paid in full the amount minus your deposit may be refundable however we need to be informed well in advance. In general this needs to be 2 weeks prior to your cruise date but this differs from boat to boat. Please check your boat's terms and conditions or contact us for more details. We would always advise you to reshedule (if you can) to avoid losing money paid.

What happens if bad weather is forecast?

In the unfortunate event of bad weather the cruise will often still go ahead, unless conditions are deemed unsafe. We of course want you to have a wonderful time on the harbour so will be checking the weather forecasts daily and you'll receive this weather information via email when you book.

BOOKING & PAYMENT

I've sent my booking request enquiry, what's next?

You'll receive an email stating we've received your enquiry, you'll then get a follow up email and text message (should you leave your mobile number) stating your booking is available with a link to view your quote. From this quote you can proceed to pay your deposit.

How much is the deposit?

As standard the deposit is 50% of the boat charter cost. Once your deposit is paid your booking is secured - you'll receive this confirmation via email and text message (should you leave your mobile number).

What about catering and other extras?

Once you've paid your deposit you are welcome to add catering and other extras the boat you have selected supplies. Simply let us know at any time what you would like and we will update your quote page which you will be able to view from the link sent via email and text message to you. Please note last minute additions or changes may not be possible so please plan at least 1 week in advance or at the time of booking.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay via most major credit cards and debit cards and we also accept PayPal.

Are there any payment charges?

Unlike most boat aggregator site, we do NOT charge additional payment type fees.

What is included in the hire fee?

The price is inclusive of skipper hire and the fuel. Should your cruise require more staff members additional fees may apply. Please check your boat's details or contact us for more information.

Wharf fees are additional?

Yes, Maritime charges wharf pick ups and drops offs to all boats and these will be itemised in your cruise quote. Additional fees may be charged for multiple pick ups and drops offs and also if these locations are far away from the CBD such as Manly, Olympic Park, etc. Please see our wharf locations for more details.

ON THE DAY OF YOUR CRUISE

What happens if i am running late?

Please inform the boat skipper as soon as you can. A contact number will be supplied to you upon your booking being secured. Depending on how busy the boat's calendar is you may be able to still enjoy the length of charter you have paid for but this is at the discretion of the boat partner; otherwise you cruise will end at the booked time.

I can't find my pick up location?

We will send you an address and map with the location of your pick up well before your cruise date. Should you struggle to find this location for any reason simply give your skipper a call and he/she will direct you. The skipper's number will be emailed to you when you make your booking and it will also be sent in the reminder email sent the day before your cruise.

What happens if i need to cancel on the day?

Please see above for conditions around cancellation. We would very much appreciate a call to let us know you cannot make your cruise so that the slot can be made available.

WHAT TO BRING | WHAT'S NOT ALLOWED

What clothing should i bring?

You should bring sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses, a seasonal jumper or jacket and swimming items, including a towel if you wish to have a swim, and this is possible with your boat selection. Of course don't forget any medication you may require and it's worth informing the skipper on the day or in advance.

Can i wear high heels?

This rule varies from boat to boat. As a general rule it's worth avoiding high heels and opting for flats or wedges that will be more stable should it get a little rocky out on the water. Larger vessels may allow high heels, stilettos are often disallowed across all vessels. If in doubt please ask.

Is BYO food and drink an option?

The majority of our boats accept BYO and often this is at an additional charge. Please check your boat's details or contact us for more information.

What sort of food do you suggest i bring on the boat, if it is BYO?

We always suggest that you bring boat friendly, picnic style food that requires minimal preparation on board. This does depend on the boat and the facilities onboard of course. Please check your boat's details or contact us for more information.

Do we need to bring ice?

You can bring your own ice or often this is supplied, normally at a small cost. Please check your boat's details or contact us for more information.

OTHER GENERAL QUESTIONS

Is a cruise suitable for children?

Yes, all vessels are very much child friendly but we do ask children are kept under adult supervision at all times.

Where is my pick up / drop off point?

Several of our vessels allow a range of pick up and drop off locations. Check the boat's details for where these are - you can select at the time of booking and fees will be shown. Maritime charges wharf pick ups and drops offs to all boats and these will be itemised in your cruise quote. Please see our wharf locations for more details.

Can one of our guests be picked up from another wharf?

This is sometimes acceptable but does depend on the boat selected for your cruise. Additional wharf fees may apply. Please see our wharf locations for more details.

Do i need to get there before the set time of the charter?

Yes. It's a good idea to be at your location at least 15 minutes prior to your charter time to allow loading of passengers and gear, and to enable enough time for safety briefings.

Note: Your charter will normally start and finish at the times of your booking and so if passengers are late arriving at the pick up point and the departure is delayed, you will lose some of your charter time on the water.

Where can i go during our charter?

Normally wherever you want within your time frame and weather permitting. It's a good idea to speak with us in advance if there is a specific itinerary you would like to do.

Can i go for a swim?

For many of our vessels yes you can. It can vary from boat to boat so please check your boat's details or contact us for more information. This will also depends on where you go on the harbour.

Can i get off the boat?

For many of our vessels yes you can. It can vary from boat to boat so please check your boat's details or contact us for more information.

Can i get an interesting and historical explanation about Sydney Harbour?

For many of our vessels yes you can. Generally all skippers have been on the water for many years and Sydney Harbour is home so they are very knowledgeable and an give you some really detailed information about Sydney, it's history and famous harbour landmarks.

Is there music on board?

For many of our vessels yes there is. This will often be a stereo sound system with Apple or Android adapters. It can however vary from boat to boat so please check your boat's details or contact us for more information.
